Exciting News From Our Trip!
INTERNATIONAL POP ARTIST ROMERO BRITTO, BRAZILFOUNDATION AND O.N.E.™JOIN FORCES TO ADDRESS ISSUE OF CLEAN WATER
O.N.E.™ Coconut Water launches limited edition carton package designed by Romero Britto to provide safe drinking water to 1,200 Brazilians.
Miami, Fla. - June 17, 2008 – Today, O.N.E.™, internationally-renowned pop artist Romero Britto and the BrazilFoundation announced the launch of a limited edition beverage designed to raise awareness and funds for clean water in Brazil. O.N.E.™ Coconut Water, which comes in Tetra Pak cartons mainly made from renewable resources, will be the canvas for the radiant and energetic designs typical of Romero Britto's work throughout the summer, with a portion of sales supporting Brazilian water projects. Together with the BrazilFoundation, the partners expect to be able to support projects to bring clean drinking water to more than 1,200 people in the semi-arid states of Pernambuco and Paraiba in Northeast Brazil.
“As an artist, I am privileged and honored to be able to lend my talent in support of this project,” said Romero Britto. “As a Brazilian from Pernambuco and a member of the human family, I’m very passionate about the challenges posed by the lack of clean, sustainable water supplies around the world. I applaud companies like O.N.E.™ and the BrazilFoundation for taking action on behalf of those in dire need.”
O.N.E.™ is donating a percentage of the Romero Britto limited edition Coconut Water sales to benefit the BrazilFoundation project, Solutions for Life in the Semi-Arid, among others. The resources raised will help to build wood-lined cisterns next to homes to collect rare rainwater and provide clean drinking water to rural communities in the drought ridden region of Northeastern Brazil. Hundreds of families have already been given practical technologies to capture and store rainwater. As a result of O.N.E.’s contributions, the project will add 200 cisterns in five communities, contributing to better health and freeing time for mothers and children now responsible for walking miles for their daily water needs.
“As a company founded on the ideal of using natural ingredients to promote healthy living, O.N.E.™ is committed to lending its resources to the fight for the most basic of all natural ingredients so scarce for millions today – clean drinking water,” said Rodrigo Veloso, President of O.N.E. World Enterprises. “We're excited to be joining forces with Romero Britto and the BrazilFoundation to support the need for safe drinking water in Brazil.”
Naturally purified as it is filtered through the dense fibers of coconuts for nine months, O.N.E.™ Coconut Water is a nutritious, pure and refreshing beverage. One hundred percent natural, with five essential electrolytes and more potassium than a banana, it has no added sugars, no fat, no cholesterol, and no preservatives. Packaged in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly manner, O.N.E.™ Coconut Water is available in 11 oz. and 1 Liter Tetra Pak cartons.
The Romero Britto designed O.N.E. carton is available now nationwide while supplies last. It can be purchased at Whole Foods Markets and Kroger Stores, as well as online at Amazom.com for a retail price of about $1.99 (11oz.) and $5.79 (1L).
